Remodel on the Bay

May 14, 2020

As often happens, we must preserve the unique design and architectural elements of the project.

Since this was a remodel, the challenge was fitting the boiler, pumps, piping and controls in the mechanical closet that backed up to the kitchen wall.

In efforts to keep all noise and vibration out of the kitchen, Mayo Mechanical fabricated a custom mounting rack that was installed from floor to ceiling about 4″ from the kitchen wall and eliminating all of the mechanical noise.

The hydronic system was configured for dual temperature and high temperature fluid was distributed to four separate hydronic fan/coils, which took care of the primary space heating with a secondary lower temp loop fed by a variable speed injection mixing pump and control for the select INFLOOR radiant floor heating zones under hardwood flooring.
